Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information OutPost collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. OutPost is a workspace where teams run outreach and project work and keep the context that work creates on each organization.

Information we collect

Account and identity. When you sign up we collect your name, email address, and workspace membership through our authentication provider, Clerk.

Workspace data. The organizations, contacts, projects, notes, and outreach records you and your team create in OutPost.

Connected Gmail data. If a workspace admin connects a shared Gmail mailbox, we access message metadata and content in order to match threads to the organizations you track and to organize them with labels. Message bodies and OAuth tokens are encrypted at rest.

How we use information

We use your data to provide the service: to run your workspace, to sync and organize connected mail against your organization records, and to support and secure your account. We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising.

Google user data and Limited Use

OutPost's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Storage and security

Data is stored with our infrastructure providers (Supabase for the database, Vercel for hosting). Sensitive values, including Gmail OAuth tokens and message bodies, are encrypted at rest. Access is restricted to your workspace.

Sub-processors

We rely on Clerk (authentication), Supabase (database), Google (Gmail integration), and Vercel (hosting) to operate OutPost.

Retention and deletion

You can disconnect a Gmail mailbox at any time from Settings, which stops sync and removes stored tokens. You can request deletion of your workspace data by contacting us.

Changes

We may update this policy as the product evolves. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above.
